Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026  ·  Effective immediately upon account creation

What Citely Does

Citely is a software service that helps you draft and send credit dispute letters under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and related consumer protection laws. You provide information about your credit situation; we generate letters you can send to credit bureaus, creditors, and debt collectors. On paid plans, we send certified mail on your behalf through a third-party mailing service.

Citely is not a law firm. Nothing we provide is legal advice. Using this service does not create an attorney-client relationship. For legal advice specific to your situation, consult a licensed attorney.

No Guarantee of Outcomes

Credit repair results vary by individual. We make no guarantee that disputing an item will result in its removal, that your credit score will increase, or that any specific outcome will occur. The FCRA gives you the right to dispute inaccurate information — we help you exercise that right. Results depend on how bureaus and furnishers respond, which is outside our control.

We comply with the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA). Under CROA, you have the right to cancel within three business days of signing this agreement. To cancel, email mark@greenwoodstratton.com.

Data We Collect

To generate dispute letters, you enter personal information including your name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, and details about credit accounts and creditors. This information is stored inside an encrypted vault on our servers using AES-256-GCM encryption. The encryption key is derived from your password — we never store or transmit your key, and we hold only ciphertext.

We store your email address and a bcrypt-hashed password for account authentication. We do not sell, license, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Payment Terms

Per-letter purchases are charged individually through Stripe. Each letter unlock — PDF download ($0.99) or certified mail dispatch ($14.99) — is authorized by you individually before it is processed. Plan pricing is displayed at checkout.

Physical mail sent through Citely is dispatched via LetterStream, a certified mail fulfillment service. Once dispatched, certified mail charges are non-refundable. PDF unlocks are non-refundable upon generation. See our Refund Policy for full details.

Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when creating dispute letters. Submitting false information to credit bureaus or creditors may be illegal.
  • Keep your vault password secure. If you lose your password, we cannot recover your vault contents.
  • Use the service only for lawful purposes and for disputes regarding your own credit information.
  • Not reverse-engineer, copy, or resell any portion of the software.

Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of major changes that affect active subscriptions.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Citely and Greenwood Stratton LLC are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any changes to your credit report or score. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute not resolved by mutual agreement shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Pennsylvania, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with updated Terms, you may cancel your account before the effective date.
